Though I wish to elaborate every tasty bits from the film, I can only provide some, including a few personal comments on the film. The following entries below could contain a spoiler or two from the film. Please refrain from reading if you wish to avoid being spoiled or haven't seen the film yet...
- Cybertronians were more humanized in this one. They bleed pinkish/green fluids (Energon?) when they get damaged/wounded. And yes, they also can spit... Like what Starscream did to Sam when he got captured after their troubles with Alice, a Decepticon Pretender-infiltrator drone utilizing an alluring human guise.
- Jetfire shares a bit of G1 Sky Lynx's trademark mannerism. A fun character.
- The Fallen's visibly present in the Nemesis, compared to the comics where he's contacting his minions via an inter-dimensional window. He's somewhat strapped and recuperating in a Spark-Support throne of sorts within the ship.
- Despite Soundwave's lacking that trademark processed/vocoded Dr. Claw voice, somehow, his 'raw' voice fits more with his movie version. Spending most of the time throughout the film in orbit while hacking and coordinating his fellow 'Cons at orbit doesn't take away his awesomeness at all.
- Do not let the Mudflap and Skids fool you. Despite the duo's constant display of slapstick antics during the course of the film, they're surprisingly formidable in the battle against the titanic and monstrous Devastator.
- Ice Cream Truck Mode Skids and Mudflap: "Decepticons suck my popsicles!"
- Alice transformation was just plain creepy.
- Wheelie is something one could expect when imagining a perverted version of Spongebob. But, somewhat strangely loveable at the same time.
- True to what some (Those who already watched ROTF on early dates, that is.) have shared...Devastator has bearings of steel..LITERALLY.
- From being a jerk of a Sector 7 Agent in the first film, Simmons was a lot better character in this one. As he was also the vital key to Devastator's destruction using the Railgun.
- The government big wig in glasses who has low opinion and seemingly mistrustful to the Autobots seems to be now the jerk in this film.
- Pantsless Simmons and Leo could be hazardous to the optics.
And finally, perhaps the film's moral lesson:
"The Matrix of Leadership cannot be found, but it can be earned."
I would like to add some more, but, it would be for the best to see the film. Lots of exciting and
